HAWTHORN FIELD DAYS: The Nitty Gritty
These harvest forays take place on a private farm in a 50+ year old hawthorn hedge I have been working for 30 years. The hawthorn species are diverse here.
You'll learn how to tend & harvest hawthorn trees. You'll learn to see the structure, biodiversity and habitat found in a hedge and how hedges support human & ecological biodiversity.
Each day is a hands-on practicum. Using the wise woman tradition, you will harvest and make hawthorn herbal preparations in the field with the leaves and flowers in spring and fruit in the fall. You'll get links to recipes for many hawthorn preparations from the practical to the magical to try at home after the field day...
